On June 1st, Laurent Lardon will be joining Electrochaea as a Process Engineer. Laurent will assist the team on site at Avedøre to complete the commissioning of the BioCat system, execute the operational phase of the project, and operation of the system after the official end of the ForskEL project funding.
Laurent will also assist Electrochaea in their participation in POWERSTEP (An EU Horizon 2020 project) that will continue on site at Avedøre.
We’re very pleased to have Laurent join the Electrochaea team at Avedøre, which will definitely help the completion of the BioCat facility. Laurent possesses extensive knowledge from previous projects and pilot projects in the energy sector, so he will be able to strengthen the BioCat project, which is tailored to his specific competences, says Hans Knudsen, Head of Operations & Maintenance at Electrochaea.dk ApS, who is heading up the BioCat team at Avedøre.
Laurent is a specialist in development, modeling and control of biological processes – especially biogas processes. He also has experience in wastewater treatment and Life Cycle Analysis of bio-based processes.
After 10 years in the academic sector in France and Denmark, Laurent created a company dedicated to remote-monitoring and on-line control of biogas plants, and then joined DONG Energy where he participated in the development of the REnescience technology, a disruptive innovation for the recycling and biogas production of unsorted municipal solid waste.
